EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER
(KINDERGARTEN & PRE-PRIMARY)

 

FULL TIME POSITION COMMENCING TERM 1, 2023
 

Heritage College Perth is a K-12 College located in Perth, Western Australia. The College was established in 2006 and has a strong student culture and ethos of high quality education in a safe, supportive environment that reinforces Christian beliefs and values. The College is recognised for strong student academic achievements as well as having a close knit and caring school community. We are seeking to employ a dedicated, energetic and passionate Early Childhood Teacher in our Kindergarten and Pre-Primary class for 2023. This multi-age position will suit a teacher with a flexible approach who understands the diversity of students' interests and abilities. A passionate Play-Based Educator will foster a love for learning amongst our youngest students.

Reporting to the Principal, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • strong organisational and planning skills;

  • an ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching qualification or suitable experience;

  • previous experience in applying National Quality Standards, Kindergarten Curriculum and West Australian Curriculum or equivalent as the basis for the development of a teaching-learning program;

  • their registration with the TRBWA or eligibility to obtain registration;

  • strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with both students and parents to ensure the best learning outcomes;

  • commitment to the vision, mission and values of the College;

  • a strong work ethic of dedication and commitment that inspires others;

  • a current Working with Children Check and a WA Police Clearance;

  • COVID-19 digital vaccination certificate providing evidence of double vaccination.
     

Previous experience in a multi-age, play-based classroom would be advantageous as would an understanding of or experience with Diana Rigg literacy material and approach to teaching.

PHYS ED / HEALTH TEACHER – ALL YEAR LEVELS

FULL TIME POSITION COMMENCING TERM 1, 2023

The College is recognised for strong student academic achievements as well as having a close knit and caring school community.

We are seeking to employ a dedicated, energetic and experienced Phys Ed/Health Teacher to join our passionate team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Educator who is passionate about Sport and has the ability to engage with students to share that enthusiasm and to motivate and bring out the best in students in all year levels.  With a lot of autonomy and scope to 'spread your wings' this role is the powerhouse of the College's Sport program. 

In addition to providing day to day Phys Ed and Health classes to all year levels the successful applicant will also be the Coordinator of our annual sporting events such as the Athletics Carnival, Swimming Carnival and Cross Country events.  Interschool competitions and events is also an important part of this role with the successful candidate being responsible for promoting our students' involvement in Interschool competition wherever possible as well as coaching, providing support and encouragement during events.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Previous experience in Phys Ed Teaching and a demonstrated passion for Phys Ed, children's sport and health
• Be either currently Registered with the TRBWA or eligible to obtain registration
• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with both students and parents to ensure the best learning outcomes
• A current Working with Children Check and WA Police Clearance
• A WA bus license (MR license with Passenger Transport Driver authorisation) or the ability to quickly obtain one is essential to this role to transport students to and from lessons and events.
