Education Assistant (2 days a week) - Immediate Start
Heritage College Perth is a K-12 College located in the beautiful, tree-lined foothills of Perth in Forrestfield. We have developed a strong student culture and a safe, supportive learning environment. We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced Education Assistant (Specialist) to support students with diverse learning needs across both Primary and Secondary settings. This position is predominantly based within a Secondary setting and has a strong life skills focus.
This role is suited to a candidate with 2–5 years’ experience in a specialist EA capacity, ideally with experience supporting students with disabilities, learning difficulties, or additional needs. A previous background in teaching will be highly regarded.
Working under the direction of teaching staff, the successful applicant will assist in the delivery and implementation of targeted education programs, supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the implementation of specialised learning programs for students with diverse needs

Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt and deliver differentiated learning experiences

Provide feedback on student progress and engagement

Assist in fostering inclusive, supportive classroom environments

Contribute to team planning and professional collaboration
Selection Criteria:
-
Demonstrated experience (2–5 years) in a specialist Education Assistant role
-
Strong organisational skills to support effective program delivery
-
Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team

Effective written and verbal communication skills, particularly when supporting students with additional needs and liaising with staff and families
-
A proactive and reflective approach to supporting diverse learning styles
-
A flexible, positive attitude and willingness to contribute across all areas of College life

Commitment to supporting student wellbeing
Essential Requirements:

Certificate III or IV in Education Support (or equivalent)

Current Working With Children Card

Current WA Police Clearance

Relief Teaching Staff
Heritage College Perth is a small, independent K–12 God-focused school located in the foothills of Perth. We offer a caring, close-knit community and a supportive learning environment.
We are seeking suitably experienced Primary and Secondary Teachers and experienced Education Assistants to join our relief team.
Teachers must have:
• Relevant teaching qualification (Primary and/or Secondary)
• Current TRBWA registration
• Proven classroom experience
• Working with Children Check and WA Police Clearance
• Strong communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude
Education Assistants must have:
• Certificate III or IV in Education Support (or equivalent experience)
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Confidence to use their initiative and demonstrate effective behaviour‑management strategies
• Working with Children Check and WA Police Clearance
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
